The Camdenton R-III School District is filled with excitement, high expectations, and rich traditions. The district has been Accredited with Distinction in Performance for 14 consecutive years and was the first school district in the state to have all its schools accredited by the North Central Association so it was no surprise that Camdenton R-III was the first central Missouri school to form a FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics team in the year 2009. Camdenton High School is located in Camdenton, Missouri which has a strong history and an exciting future. Camdenton is a beautiful community located in Missouri, the Show-Me State, next to the magnificent Lake of the Ozarks. The Lake of the Ozarks itself was created due to constructions of Bagnell Dam. Camdenton, frequently referred to as the hub of the Lake Area, is also the home of the world famous Bridal Cave and Ha Ha Tonka State Park. Camdenton R-III is unique in the sense that more students are present on campus between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm then in the whole community of Camdenton. The population of the city of Camdenton is 2779, with the student population of 4,275 students in grades K-12 on campus daily. The Camdenton R-III district covers 372+ square miles. FIRST LASER 3284 FLL & FRC teams partner with numerous civic organizations, businesses, agencies, the Missouri Department of Education and the Missouri House of Representatives to promote the core values of FIRST and spread the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). |
